Eviction Diversion Pilot Program
The Eviction Diversion Pilot Program (EDPP)* provides eligible landlords and tenants with free mediation, case management services, and provides up to $10,000 in rental assistance per household to help avoid potential eviction related to unpaid back rent. EDPP provides services at every stage of the unlawful detainer process:

You may be eligible** if:
- Landlord and tenant dispute is related to unpaid back rent
- Both the landlord and tenant agree to participate in mediation
- Either the landlord or tenant household annual income is at or below 120% of Area Median Income (AMI)
- The rental property involved in the dispute is located within the eligible zip codes served by Compton Courthouse

*The Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) has partnered with Community Legal Aid SoCal (CLA SoCal) and FORWARD to offer free mediation, rental assistance, and case management services for eligible individuals.
**Please note that meeting the program’s basic eligibility requirements does not guarantee mediation, rental assistance, or case management services. Program participation and assistance will depend on eligibility and available funding.
